AAPM released a statement today expressing concern about Walmart’s new policy that limits initial opioid prescriptions for acute pain to a seven-day supply and 50 MME/day. The Academy appreciates the many members who have contacted us to share their personal concerns and experiences regarding the negative impact this policy has proven to have on patients.
