How AAPM Members Access the Pain Medicine Journal
AAPM members receive complimentary online access to Pain Medicine, the official journal of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, published by Oxford University Press.
Because single sign-on (SSO) is not yet available, access currently requires a two-step process. Please follow the instructions below carefully to ensure you receive full-text access to all articles.
🔹 Step 1: Log in to Your AAPM Member Dashboard
- Go to your AAPM Member Dashboard:
- Enter your AAPM credentials and confirm that you are signed in.
- On your dashboard home page, locate the “Access the Pain Medicine Journal” link or button.
🔹 Step 2: Click the Journal Link in Your Dashboard
- Click the Access Pain Medicine Journal link on your AAPM Dashboard.
- This will open a new browser tab and take you to the journal site hosted by Oxford Academic.
- You should now have member access to all full-text articles.
- If you still see that articles are locked:
- You are logged into your AAPM Member Dashboard in the same browser.
- You are not using a private/incognito window.
- You did not switch browsers or devices between steps.
Quick Troubleshooting Tips
- If you continue to see locked content:
- Log out of both AAPM and the journal, then repeat the steps above.
- Try again in a private/incognito window (and complete both steps within that same window).
- Clear your browser cache and cookies.
- If problems persist, contact info@painmed.org for assistance.
