Sharon H. Kneebone, IOM, FASAE, CAE, has officially been appointed as AAPM’s permanent Executive Director, transitioning from her interim role.
The American Academy of Pain Medicine is excited to announce that Ms. Sharon H. Kneebone, IOM, FASAE, CAE, has been appointed as Executive Director. This marks a significant milestone for our Academy, and Ms. Kneebone transitions from her current interim role to serve as our permanent Executive Director starting January 1, 2024.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the complexities of our recent management transition and internal restructuring, the past year has been a pivotal one for the Academy. We have not only persevered but also achieved record-breaking success in all aspects of our mission.
This success can be attributed to Ms. Kneebone’s profound knowledge and extensive experience in association management, her unwavering care, and dedication to our mission, our members, and the field at large. We are grateful for the privilege of working alongside Ms. Kneebone this past year and witnessing firsthand the positive impact she has made on the Academy.
Under Ms. Kneebone’s capable leadership, we are confident that the Academy is in excellent hands, and we anticipate a bright future ahead. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Kneebone as she assumes her role as our permanent Executive Director.
