AAPM Code of Ethics
AAPM endorses the American Medical Association’s Code of Medical Ethics, which guides physicians to meet the ethical challenges of medical practice, as well as the Council of Medical Specialty Societies’ Code for Interactions with Companies. AAPM is also an ACCME-accredited provider, adhering to specific standards related to commercial support.

Whistleblower Policy
Because of the AAPM relationship with the ACCME and the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, all leaders in AAPM educational programs, meetings and conferences will agree to abide by set standards, obligations, and commitments. Complaints or concerns relating to violations of the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support are subject to AAPM Whistleblower procedures.

Educational Planning Policy
It is the policy of AAPM to plan and implement educational activities in accordance with the ACCME to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor. As an ACCME-accredited provider, AAPM may receive commercial support from industry but does not receive guidance, either nuanced or direct, on the content of the activity or on who should deliver the content.
