Restorative Function Guideline

We invite you to apply for an exciting academic opportunity with the AAPM Foundation, AAPM’s charitable foundation focused on patient safety, research funding, education, and advanced pain management training. Mainstay Medical is one of the project’s sponsors, and additional co-sponsors will be identified.

We seek 6-8 panel members to contribute to writing an article: “Neuromuscular Restoration of Function and Pain Using Neurostimulation and Brain-Computer Interface Technologies: an American Academy of Pain Medicine Expert Consensus Guideline project.” This project aligns with our aim to enhance patient care and create consensus guidelines integrating clinical evidence with expert opinion.

This guideline aims to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based framework for healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, payers, and neuromodulation specialists. It will assist in the selection, implementation, and optimization of neuromodulation techniques for neuromuscular restoration and pain relief.

The panel will meet in person on April 2, 2025, in Austin, TX, in conjunction with the AAPM annual meeting, PainConnect. Attendance is mandatory to be considered for panel participation. Travel and one-night hotel reimbursement and a project honorarium are included.
