AAPM Call for Volunteers 2025
AAPM is proud to announce its 2025 Call for Volunteers. The American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) relies on the incredible talents of our member volunteers to shape the future of pain medicine. Our volunteers serve as subject matter experts, create valuable resources, develop multidisciplinary education, advocate for patient access to therapies, lead innovative solutions, and advance research in pain medicine.
If you are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to AAPM’s mission, we invite you to explore the various volunteer opportunities available. Whether you are interested in joining a committee, participating in a Special Interest Group (SIG), or contributing to an ad hoc initiative, there is a place for you!

AAPM Committee & Taskforce Purposes
Committee & Taskforce chairs guide the committee in directions that are consistent with the published charge. Any proposed change to a committee charge must be submitted to the AAPM Board of Directors for consideration.
Volunteering on a committee or task force is a benefit of membership and an opportunity to showcase your leadership ability. Affiliate members may co-chair committees with an Active member. Active, Affiliate, Scientific, International, Trainee, Resident, and Student members may serve on committees.
Committees meet in person or via teleconference as needed. Committees may make recommendations to the board. Recommendations will be reviewed for alignment with Academy priorities and budget implications. AAPM exclusively uses Asana project management software to facilitate all committee and task force initiatives.
