Multisociety Research Collaboration—Small Research Group Update
The Multisociety Research Collaboration (MRC) provides a forum for specialty societies to identify critical gaps in the evidence base where additional high-quality research is needed to clarify the role of interventional pain procedures in the treatment of patients with spine conditions. In a recent project, MRC participants identified lumbar transforaminal injections (LTFESI) and lumbar radiofrequency neurotomy (LMBRFN) as the procedures in greatest need of high-quality research studies. Along with other society participants, board member Robert W. Hurley, MD PhD, serves as AAPM Research Committee representative with the MRC. Full story.
