How Animals 'Dial-Up' the Pain They Experience from Certain Stimuli

Researchers in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, in collaboration with colleagues in the US and China, have discovered that, under certain conditions, the molecular sensors that respond to physical stimuli can be turbo charged – to intensify the electrical signals reaching the brain.
