Spinal Cord Neurostimulation - AAPM is one of several organizations that support appropriate access to SCS as a therapy option for properly selected patients with chronic neuropathic pain, encourage payers to ensure such access through their coverage and reimbursement policies, and stand ready as advocates for policies that preserve patient access to this important therapy. This position statement represents an important collaborative effort between the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM), American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS), North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) and the Neuromodulation Therapy Access Coalition (NTAC).

Safe Controlled Substance Practices - AAPM supports measures that reduce prescription drug abuse without deterring access to appropriate pain care for legitimate patients and the right of physicians to practice responsible Pain Medicine.
